Verizon iPhone :)

I waited so patiently, and now it all pays off because I just so happen to be eligible for an upgrade the day before I can pre-order my iPhone for Verizon :) Excuse me while I happy-dance!

Working on: Knits, T-Day, and Ukes!

I've been a busy, busy little bee. Last week I updated the logo for my shop, preparing for my re-open in January! It's all been very exciting - planning and making new products and giving the shop a new focus, and creating an updated identity for the shop! These little seed stitch infinity scarves have been flying off my needles. I've got a bunch ready to be sold in divine colors, but this one is mine and I finished it last night. We've been in full-on Thanksgiving mode in my house. This weekend we procured most of our groceries, just need to get a few more things for dessert. I am in charge of stuffing, biscuits, and some dessert. We've got 17 people coming for dinner! What are you doing to prepare for your holiday festivities?



And finally, I am again testing my Jackette of All Trades skills and have decided to act on my dream of learning to play the ukelele. This beauty arrived today and I've already got some chords down!

ETA: After a coule of hours practicing chords and strumming, I can now play "Home on the Range" and "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and I am enjoying myself very much!

I just stumbled across this, GE is working with charities to donate solar power, wind power, and drinking water for every photo uploaded to Flickr that is tagged "light", "wind", or "water". So if you have some pictures that need to be uploaded go and upload them and tag them accordingly! I happen to have some from this passed weekend exploring my boyfriend's Grandfather's farm and some of my pictures from Salem, MA. Do your part to help donate! More information can also be found at the Photojojo blog. There is also a Flickr Ecoimagination Pool where you can submit photos taken for the cause. You can submit up to 3 photos per day.

Procrastination and Other Things

Do you ever have days where you get nothing done? You have every intention of being productive, and yet no matter how hard you try you just end up watching re-runs of a cancelled (but awesome) show all day? Just me?

Today I had every intention of tackling some laundry, making a dent in my class assignments for this week, packing for my trip to Salem, MA this weekend, and a bunch of other things. What did I end up doing? I ended up knitting (which I suppose you could count as productive since I finished some Christmas gifts) and watching Veronica Mars. I discovered the show last week, promptly devoured all 3 seasons and kicked myself for not finding the show sooner.
